Water Properties - Iceburg's

Hi, I'm Prajna and my buddy is Vaasu. In class for our theme everyone had to choose a topic but it had to be about Weather. So Vassu and I looked at water properties. The next step was to ask a question and find facts about it. Our question was 'How does an Iceburg form?' We looked at a couple of resources. These were books from our library corner and the school library. Unfortunately we weren't able to find any facts in these books. Finally we got our answers on the internet. We found out that Iceburg's are calves that break off from larger ice shelves. We also learnt that when the piece of an Iceburg is formed they float on oceans or lakes. One fact that we didn't know was that calves can be formed within seconds. We both hope that you enjoyed reading about Iceburgs and that you learnt something new. By Vaasu and Prajna
